Product Evidence Passport
Keep a product's identity, custody claims, tag observations and evidence versions together. Use a product passport to track what is documented and what still needs independent authentication.
A practical guide
How to use the product evidence passport
Supply the evidence
Add product identity and ownership or custody observations, with QR or NFC details and supporting evidence versions where you have them.
Read the result
Review the product's recorded evidence history, conflicting claims and the freshness of available observations.
Check the limits
A passport records evidence; it is not a manufacturer certification. A GTIN, QR code, NFC tag or document digest does not by itself establish genuine origin.
Questions about this tool
Is a product passport a certificate of authenticity?
No. It organizes supplied claims and evidence so they can be reviewed. Authentication requires a reliable link to the manufacturer or another qualified independent source.
How should I interpret missing evidence?
Missing evidence means the assessment has less support or coverage. It does not establish safety or wrongdoing. Review the sources and dates, and independently verify the gaps that matter to your decision.
